Watching a series in Spanish can be a very interesting way to continue learning outside of class.
On the one hand, it keeps you in touch with the language and familiarizes you with its structure and prosody (i.e., its melody) in an organic way by listening to different conversations in different contexts. Watching series in Spanish exposes you to different accents, rhythms, intonations and can help you improve your listening comprehension while learning new vocabulary and hearing different colloquial expressions.
It can also be a cultural immersion, being a window to everyday situations and cultural dynamics, interesting locations or historical recreations, keeping in mind that we are always dealing with a fictional story.
